EyeRef Privacy Policy
Your reference stays on your wrist.
EyeRef is an offline ophthalmic educational quick-reference app for Wear OS.
Privacy at a glance
No accounts · No data collection · Offline by design
Nothing leaves your watch. Reference material and calculations run locally, without analytics, tracking, or cloud services.
Effective date: 1 August 2026
01 — Information collection and sharing
EyeRef does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information, health information or other user data. The app has no user accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking or cloud service.
02 — On-device operation
The app’s reference material and calculations run locally on the watch. Refraction values entered into the calculator are temporary calculation inputs for the current app session. They are not transmitted outside the device and EyeRef does not provide a patient-record system.
EyeRef requests no network, location, camera, microphone, sensor or file-storage permission.
03 — Patient data
Do not enter or store patient names, identifiers, records or other patient data in EyeRef. The app is not designed or intended to store patient information.
04 — Children’s privacy
EyeRef is intended for adult ophthalmology professionals and trainees. It is not directed to children, and the app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
05 — Clinical and medical-device disclaimer
EyeRef is an educational quick-reference aid, not a medical device. It does not diagnose disease, recommend treatment or replace a complete examination, professional clinical judgment, supervision, or applicable local guidance. Users remain responsible for independently verifying information before clinical use.
06 — Third parties
EyeRef contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and sends no data to the developer or third parties. The Google Play service used to download the app may process information under Google’s own privacy policy independently of EyeRef.
07 — Changes to this policy
If EyeRef’s data practices change, this policy and the in-app privacy information will be updated before those changes take effect. The effective date above identifies the current version.
